The Hero3 Silver edition improves on its high performing predecessor – the HD Hero 2 and is packed with a number of new features. To start with, the Hero3: Silver Edition is 25% lighter and 30% smaller than the Hero 2, making it even more compact and unobtrusive. A new and improved aspherical lens and user selectable field of view options allows users to capture exactly what they want. Built in Wi-Fi allows for remote control connectivity* and compatibility with the GoPro App which gives users full camera control straight from their iOS smartphones and tablets.
The Hero3: Silver Edition remains compatible with all GoPro mounting accessories and BacPacs. However, due to the smaller size, it is not compatible with Hero2 housings.
